In fact, Essaouira is a popular travel destination for photographers worldwide because both the great light and the oriental architecture provide optimal conditions for aesthetically beautiful images. Where?

In Essaouira/Morocco. You decide where and how you want to be accommodated. In the old town of Essaouira there are many different options for staying overnight at a good price-performance ratio.

Investment?

550 euros. Food, like accommodation, is not included in the price. We always eat together in inexpensive restaurants for lunch and dinner. Of course in relation to the prices we are used to in Germany.

Contents?

We practice meditation and mindfulness for three hours every day. Since we always practice in short units of a maximum of 20 minutes, the retreat is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners. In addition, there is a daily photo excursion session lasting three hours. All in all, this gives us intensive practice and at the same time enough free time to do one thing or another spontaneously.

About Zakaria Mtilk

There are spaces in which we grow up where harmony with people, elements and cycles is so deeply rooted that it becomes our identity. Every creature, every corner, every alley, every changing light, every moment of the day is then shown in a chance rendezvous in a place whose grace touches the eye and touches the heart. I was born in Essaouira and grew up there almost self-taught, both culturally and photographically. My forays through the city and its surroundings, camera constantly in hand, bear witness to a lasting homage to her.

But not only. It is also all of these living beings who, in their depth, joy, openness and distance, continue to shape such a fertile field of observation in which time no longer has any hold. This rich heritage makes me a photographer. Day after day, I tirelessly undertake a journey within myself, trying to extract its essence: to capture a moment that marks the unique and diverse identity of this place where life is signaled in so many unique moments.

Each photo selected is a fitting recompense for that photo, like a living gratitude for this land that is so conducive to visual, affective and emotional fulfillment.

About Mounir Jaber

Mounir is a certified meditation teacher who lived in a yoga ashram in Mainz for four years and was able to delve very deeply into the Far Eastern philosophies of life. He is fully committed to meditation and teaching mindfulness meditation with the confidence that it will give people a deeper understanding of what they need to be happy.

Thanks to many years of coaching experience as a mental coach and thanks to the intensive discussion, the mental attitude, which is crucial for the quality of life, is a central part of his work. how much our quality of life is linked to our way of seeing the world. One of his great strengths is his ability to convey content in a stimulating and entertaining way. This is where years of practice as an improvisational actor come in handy.

His calm, mindful and humorous manner helps you open up to the topic of meditation and mindfulness with a certain ease. He also specializes in the topic of habits, which means he can provide many ideas that will help to sustainably integrate the practice of mindfulness into everyday life.
